Chris Giannini

Chris James Giannini was born 22 years ago in Montreal, Canada. At a very early age,

he learned to play the guitar and started to sing for family and friends. Like every other

kid in Quebec, Chris was immersed in both cultures and quickly developed artistic

aspirations in the fields of music and cinema.

While in his teens, Chris started his own multi-media company, shooting weddings and

graduations in the city. His passion for music led him to start his own band playing the

circuit. Songwriting followed and Chris became more and more focused on what he

really hoped to be.

A chance meeting with Montreal producer-engineer Gautier Marinof from famed

Montreal recording studios Piccolo led to a demo recording session. Those demos then

impressed the owners of the studio who run their own label (1890) and Chris was

offered a recording deal. The first excerpt of the forthcoming album is called If It's Me.

It represents Chris Giannini perfectly: young, fresh, original, and imaginative. The

trademark sound of the ukulele (a very small exotic guitar) played by Chris himself gives

the song a unique vibe. Add his amazing vocals and you have an exciting new Canadian

artist.
